While a lot has changed for her company in the past year, she continues to see our health-care system face some of the same challenges that inspired her to found EmpiricaLab. Even so, she notes three huge trends in the market today — a movement toward more flexible work arrangements, the desire for upskilling to ensure that employees will be qualified to do their jobs as the work evolves and the adoption of AI in many different forms.
In Norma’s opinion, the biggest delta will not be between the different ways that organizations use AI but between those organizations that use it and those who choose not to adopt it at all. Those organizations with the best strategies and plans for AI adoption will be the “winners.”
On this episode of “In Case You Missed It” (our 100th!), Norma joins Dustin and Joe to discuss areas of opportunity, the immediate benefits of large language models, fears surrounding the adoption of tech in the health-care industry and the important need to retain empathy and a human perspective even as technology is being used to transform skills and the way that workers collaborate.
