As administrator of the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) within the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA), Zanow replaces David Cagigal, whose last day was Friday.
According to an email to Government Technology, Zanow was most recently DET's deputy administrator.
Over the last 25 years, she has held a wide variety of roles in state government. In addition to serving as DOA's bureau of infrastructure support director, database section chief and application hosting section chief, she has worked for the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Zanow has also provided leadership for Wisconsin's State Emergency Operations Center throughout the state's response to the COVID-19 crisis. She was head of the team that created Wisconsin's only alternative care facility as part of a collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
