O’Toole comes to the company after a policing career full of highlights. She’s served as chief of the police departments in Boston and Seattle, as well as chief inspector for Ireland’s national police force.
Mark43, based in New York, offers cloud-based software for record keeping and dispatch to police and other public safety agencies. Founded in 2012, the company is relatively young in a market niche dominated by long-standing incumbents such as Tyler Technologies and Motorola Solutions.
In the course of her career, O’Toole has gained attention pushing for data and technology in policing.

Mark43 is no stranger to leadership from high-profile figures; its list of advisors and investors include Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and retired U.S. General David Petraeus as well as celebrities Sophia Bush and Ashton Kutcher.
