CivStart's Next Gov Tech Startup Program — ICYMI

The state and local government market is quite unique, with its own language, complexity and challenges — not to mention a sales cycle traditionally much longer than the private sector's. It can be daunting even for larger, well-established IT companies. Where does an innovative startup company begin?

Since 2018, the nonprofit organization CivStart has focused on educating and connecting governments and startups, with a mission to help disruptive innovations quickly (and correctly) enter the market. Its two-year government accelerator program selects companies to join a cohort to gain feedback, learn how to navigate complexities and gain exposure to leaders in innovation.

On this week's episode of In Case You Missed It, co-founder and CEO Anthony Jamison joins show producer Mark Androvich to discuss CivStart's work to build an honest and inclusive ecosystem of solutions to help government leaders better serve their communities, the benefits of the startup program and the ins and outs of the application process. Applications are open through May 31.
